Weight loss diets are tied to the idea of reducing calorie intake present in different proportions of fat, carbohydrates, and proteins. A proper diet for weight loss should include sufficient nutrients which when combined with physical exercise and training will yield the desired results. Training is the stimulus that sends impulses to the muscles instructing them to work at a specific level.  For the trigger to be effective, proper feeding is fundamental. The type of diet incorporated depends on the kind and intensity of the exercises. Energy is needed for the body's various functions including growth maintenance, daily activities, exercise , and other body movements and operations. This article is intended to provide education on the best foods to eat while exercising. Weight loss diets are tied to the idea of reducing calorie intake present in different proportions of fat, carbohydrates, and proteins. Health Effects of Air Pollution on Humans

Air pollution is caused by hazardous chemicals and gases escaping into the environment by natural and/or anthropogenic activities

Health is Wealth. It is the building block of a happy and long life. There is no greater possession than a life free from ailments.

According to the World Health Organisation, health defines both the physical, mental, and social domains of an individual and it's not limited to the mere absence of infirmities.

Good human health is enhanced by balanced diets, plenty of fresh and clean drinking water, regular physical exercise, medical screening, immunization against infectious and communicable diseases, personal and communal hygiene, adequate rest, and sleep.

Pathological development in the body inhibits the normal physiological processes. Air Pollution is one of the routes through which toxins find their way into the human body. This article will discuss the health effects of air pollution on humans.

Air pollution is a major global scourge in both developed and developing countries that is deleterious to human health and environment

Air pollution is a major global scourge in both developed and developing countries. Exponential population growth and energy demand have contributed to atmospheric toxicity that is deleterious to the environment and human health. The World Health Organisation records 4 million annual deaths from air pollution.

Air pollution is caused by hazardous chemicals and gases escaping into the environment by natural and/or anthropogenic activities which have adverse impacts on human health. It affects physiological and biochemical processes

Human systems Prone to Air Toxicity

The toxins in air pollutants may reduce lung function, increase exposure to lung infections, and increase episodes and severity of respiratory symptoms such as coughing and breathing difficulties, irritation of the eye and skin, abortion, stillbirth, reduction of life expectancy, birth deformities, and premature deaths.

Major Air Pollutants

Fossil combustion produces Sulfur dioxide, Nitrogen oxides, Carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, tropospheric ozone, and heavy metals which are cardinal air pollutants
Automobile emitting gaseous air pollutants

The composition of atmospheric gases has undergone tremendous changes over the past four decades. Fossil combustion produces Sulfur dioxide, Nitrogen oxides, Carbon monoxide, volatile organic compounds, tropospheric ozone, and heavy metals which are cardinal air pollutants.

Sulfur dioxide causes severe lung complications, bronchitis, emphysema, lung cancer, and nose irritation. The cells lining the nasal cavity are adversely affected.

Nitrogen dioxide damages the lung tissue and increases the severity of asthma, leaving victims vulnerable to opportunistic diseases.

Carbon monoxide concentration in the blood interferes with the normal Oxygen transportation by the hemoglobin leading to hypoxia, unconsciousness, and even death.

High levels of Carbon dioxide may lead to heart and central nervous system damage,  headaches, dizziness, convulsions, and death. Carbon dioxide also traps heat in the atmosphere leading to global warming thereby influencing the equilibrium of the ecosystem and the distribution of infectious diseases.

The atmospheric Ozone protects the Earth against ultraviolet radiation. Chemicals such as Chlorofluorocarbons deplete the Ozone layer. Photochemical reactions between Nitrogen dioxide and volatile organic compounds also produce ozone gas.

High levels of ground ozone erode the cells lining the nasal cavity-inducing acute inflammatory responses and epithelial lesions. The process impairs the normal olfactory function because the trigeminal nerve endings are destroyed. The Patients have reduced olfactory sensitivity.

Suspended particulate matter is formed by a complex mixture of organic and inorganic compounds which include Lead and Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons from the burning of petroleum fuels. Lead is a precursor of Lead toxicity and it's more pronounced in children. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon exacerbates the incidences of lung malfunction and asthma.

Air particulate compounds differ in their ability to disintegrate and diffuse in the human body. The difference in their diffusion potency enables them to cause either chronic or acute diseases.

Cigarette smoke is composed of variable and numerous irritant gases. Since tobacco does not burn completely, other contaminants are produced including Sulfur dioxide, Ammonia, Nitrogen oxides, Hydrogen Cyanide, Formaldehyde, and Benzene among others

Smoking is another source of air pollution. Cigarette smoke is composed of variable and numerous irritant gases. Since tobacco does not burn completely, other contaminants are produced including Sulfur dioxide, Ammonia, Nitrogen oxides, Hydrogen Cyanide, Formaldehyde, and Benzene among others. These products cause stress, irritation, panic, and mass hysteria.

The results of air pollution are destructive to human health. People are exposed to the dangers associated with air pollution without their knowledge hence it's indispensable to establish and implement laws that protect the gullible victims from natural and anthropogenic air toxicity.
